During the day you can head over to the Clark County Heritage Museum and learn about the history of gambling. The museum has exhibits that range from historic times to modern day. There is also a large American Indian exhibit with fascinating displays of pottery and jewelry. The Las Vegas Valley was once home to the Paiute, Mojave, Anasazi, and Chemehuevi Indians. The museum’s interactive displays give visitors the chance to handle fossils, arrowheads and other Indian artifacts. The museum’s exterior is landscaped with native plants and flowers. You’ll also find Heritage Street with its fully-restored original buildings on both sides.
